Srinagar, Sep 28: The Chairperson Waqf Board Dr DarakhshanAndrabi Wednesday chaired a high level meeting at the Waqf Central Office in which she reviewed the arrangements made for the observance of Eid-e-Milad-u-Nabi.

The official spokesperson said that the CEO Waqf Board and SP Hazratbal were present in the meeting; which was also attended by the representatives of various departments like  PHE JalShakhti, Srinagar Municipality, LAWDA, Fire and Emergency, SDA etc.

During the meeting Dr Andrabi was informed about the arrangements made in connection with the Milad celebrations at Hazratbal and other places in the valley.

In the meeting it was said that the appropriate arrangements have been made for the convenience of the visiting devotees.

The Chairperson said that all necessary facilities as well as uninterrupted supply of power and water should be made possible during the ‘ayam-e-mutbarka’ and ‘urs’ days for pilgrims.

Dr DarankhshanAndrabi further said that there should be no inconvenience in public transport and it should run till late hours.

The Waqf chairperson thanked all the officers and said that all measures have been taken by the board to provide better facilities and sufficient manpower has been deployed at all places to celebrate the occasion with religious fervor.
