National Wushu Women's League championship: J&K makes stunning start with eight medals 

Manipur leads with 14 medals

Srinagar, Mar 29: JK has made a stunning start in the ongoing Khelo India National Wushu Women's League championship in Sub-Junior category. On the second day of the championship, J&K confirmed a total of eight medals, bringing their total tally to 12. However, the Manipur team is currently leading the medal tally with 14 medals.
 
"We are thrilled with the performance of our girls in the championship so far. They have worked very hard, and their efforts are paying off," said J&K Wushu Association in a statement.
 
The Khelo India National Wushu Women's League championship started on March 28 and will conclude on March 31. This championship is part of the Sports Authority of India's Khelo India program, which aims to empower women in sports and promote their participation in various disciplines.
 
"The Khelo India program is a wonderful initiative by the government of India, and we are honored to be a part of it. We are thankful to the Wushu Association of India and the Sports Authority of India for giving us this opportunity to host three major events in the championship," said the President of the J&K Wushu Association.
 
The J&K Wushu Association also thanked the J&K Sports Council and J&K Police for their support in hosting the event.
 
"The support we have received from the J&K Sports Council and J&K Police has been phenomenal. They have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this event, and we are grateful to them," the statement reads.
 
The Khelo India National Wushu Women's League championship is a national feature of the Sports Authority of India and aims to encourage more women to participate in sports.
 
"In India, women athletes are doing an excellent job on the international podium for the country, and this championship serves as a platform to encourage more women to take up sports. We hope to see more girls from J&K and other parts of the country participating in such events.”
 
The closing ceremony of the championship will be held on March 30 at 5 PM. The Khelo India National Wushu Women's League championship is a testament to India's commitment to promoting women in sports and achieving excellence in the field.
