6 more die, JK toll 478

Monday records 470 cases, tally crosses 25,000 mark
7514 active cases in JK

Six more persons died of COVID-19 in Kashmir during the past 24 hours taking the number of casualties in J&K to 478 while over 470 fresh cases were reported, pushing the infection tally to 25,367, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh deaths include two from Srinagar while Pulwama, Kulgam, Kupwara and Bandipora reported one death each.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to coronavirus soared to 478 in J&K, which includes 443 from Kashmir and 35 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 154 deaths, Baramulla 82, Budgam 35, Anantnag 33, Kulgam and Pulwama 31 each, Kupwara 27, Shopian 24, Bandipora 18 and Ganderbal eight.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 24 deaths, Rajouri three, Doda and Udhampur two each, and Ramban, Kathua, Samba and Poonch one each.
J&K reported 470 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday, which include 368 from Kashmir and 102 from Jammu, pushing the total infection tally to 25,367.
Today’s cases include 115 from Srinagar, 79 from Bandipora, Jammu 58, Baramulla 41, Budgam 31, Pulwama 30, Kupwara 17, Anantnag and Ramban 16 each, Ganderbal 15, Shopian 14, Kulgam 10, Kathua eight, Samba five, Doda four, Udhampur, Reasi and Kishtwar two each.
The government said of the 7,25,542 test results available, 7,00,175 returned negative and 25,367 positive which include 7514 active positive cases while 17,375 have recovered and been discharged including 372 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 3,95,216 persons had been put under observation including 40,932 in home quarantine and 7514 in isolation while 48,716 people are under home surveillance and 2,97,576 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 6263 cases followed by Baramulla with 2178, Pulwama 1860, Kulgam 1619, Anantnag 1569, Budgam 1568, Shopian 1534, Kupwara 1273, Bandipora 1101, and Ganderbal 689.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has 1613 cases, Rajouri 763, Udhampur 625, Ramban 605, Kathua 602, Samba 522, Doda 315, Poonch 275, Reasi 228, and Kishtwar 165.
