Covid-19:10 more die in JK, toll 417

390 more test positive, tally 22,396

Ten more persons died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours taking the death toll in J&K to 417 while 390 new cases were reported on Tuesday, officials said.
As per the government, all 10 deaths were reported from Kashmir which includes three each from Srinagar and Budgam, two from Pulwama, and one each from Bandipora and Ganderbal.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to the novel coronavirus has soared to 417 in J&K, which includes 387 from Kashmir and 30 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 138 deaths, Baramulla 73, Budgam 31, Kulgam 29, Anantnag 26, Pulwama 24, Shopian 23, Kupwara 21, Bandipora 15 and Ganderbal seven.
Similarly, in Jammu division, Jammu district reported 21 deaths, Doda and Rajouri two each, and Udhampur, Kathua, and Samba one each.
On Tuesday, J&K witnessed 390 fresh coronavirus cases which includes 238 from Kashmir and 152 from Jammu, pushing the total infection tally to 22,396.
Today’s cases include Srinagar 99, Jammu 41, Anantnag 37, Ganderbal 28, Udhampur 26, Reasi 28, Rajouri 21, Baramulla, Pulwama 14 each, Samba, Shopian 11 each, Budgam nine, Bandipora five, Kathua four and Kulgam one.
The government said of the 6,71,413 test results available, 6,49,017 returned negative and 22,396 positive which include 7123 active positive cases while 14,856 have recovered and been discharged including 824 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 3,76,393 persons had been put under observation including 44,229 in home quarantine and 7123 in isolation while 43,078 people are under home surveillance and 2,81,546 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 5432 cases followed by Baramulla with 1968, Pulwama 1628, Kulgam 1524, Shopian 1485, Anantnag 1411, Budgam 1345, Kupwara 1161, Bandipora 820, and Ganderbal 518.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has 1300 cases, Rajouri 741, Udhampur 581,
Ramban 574, Kathua 551, Samba 457, Doda 299, Poonch 248, Reasi 198, and Kishtwar 155.
