Takes stock of availibality
Director Food Civil Supplies Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan Thursday visited FCI godowns at Lethpora and Hindustan Petroleum bottling plant for on-spot assessment of the stock positions.
Khan was accompanied by the Joint Director and the Deputy Director Food Supplies, Kashmir.
During the inspection of the FCI godowns at Lethpora, he was informed that sufficient foodgrain stock was avalable in the godowns.
Reviewing the stock position, he was briefed that 3021 metric tonnes of rice was available at the godowns.
He directed the FCI officers to ensure the timely supplies and push more stocks to top up the stocks for two months of winters.
The Director also visited the HP bottling plant at Pampore where he directed the company to keep sufficient stocks of cylinders readily available for the consumers.
He was informed that of about 3.70 lakh LPG cylinders, 2.5 lakh cylinders are in bulk for the consumers.
He directed the plant manager to ensure smooth supply opf stock to all the districts in time so that consumers would not face any inconvinence.
