The Jammu and Kashmir Baseball Association is all set to participate in upcoming 33rd Senior National Baseball Championship scheduled to be held at Indore, MP being organised by the Madhya Pradesh Baseball Association under the auspices of Amateur Baseball Federation of India held from January 12th to 17th January, 2019.
In this context, JKBA has picked up the probables during the selection trials at Polo Ground play field, Srinagar on 5th and 6th January, 2019 under the Sports Council observer Riyaz Ahmad Khan successfully.
The Screening Committee of J&K State Sports Council properly screened state contingent by the members of the committee headed by Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir, Nuzhat Ara, Sports Officer Central, Nusrat Gazala and Manager SKISC, Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar on 7th January, 2019 at Polo Ground, Srinagar for the onward journey to Indore, Madhya Pradesh said, in a press statement issued by Sabreena Jan, General Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Baseball Association, here.
The state contingent comprising 16 players led by International Medalist Shahnawaz Hussain Mir and 2 officials includes Coach and Manager who will represent the state under the banner of J&K State Sports Council. Sabreena is also accompanying the squad as head of the state Delegation.
