KAS Mains result full of discrepancies, allege dropout candidates

Ask JKPSC to re-evaluate answer sheets

A group of KAS aspirants on Thursday alleged “discrepancies” in the mains examination result by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
The aspirants registered protest inside Kashmir University premises accusing JKPSC for selecting “blue eyed candidates" and demanded re-evaluation of the answer scripts.
The agitating candidates said the mains examination result is full of doubts and discrepancies.
“The IAS and KAS dropouts are not in the list. This makes whole examination doubtful," said, Khalid Ahmad, one of the Aspirants.
He said there are candidates who have passed the mains examination many times, but this time , they didn’t feature in the selection list.
“I was very sure that i will be selected because i did well in my mains examination. But i was shocked when the mains result was declared. Despite doing well in the examination, i was not selected. It is injustice with me,” said Altaf Ahmad, a candidate whose name was not in the mains result list.
The aspirants said that they fail to understand why their name is not in the list.
“We are 2016 batch candidates. Earlier the JKPSC selected more than 6 thousand candidates for the mains examination then they added more candidates in the list. The number reached to around 9050 candidates. Around 9050 candidates appeared in the mains examination. They had also violated the 1:25 rule of UPSC, “said another candidate.
The aspirants said that they want re-evaluation of the papers. “We are very confident about what we have done in the examination. We did very well. The deserving candidates are not in the list." They said that the commission held the examination of Zoology paper second time which was against the rules. The agitating candidates said that they did calculation on their own by consulting teachers, books and online resource.
"Tilak raj has secured 1288,Mohd Shafi 1317 , Sameer Ahmed Bhat 1333, Rayees ul Islam Wani 1218 , Mohd Iqbal Zargar 1367, Monica Sharma has scored 1280 , Mohd Anzer 1338 , Supinder Kour 1358 , Gulrez Malik 1324 , Shakshi Sharma 1343 and Ehrar Rayees is UPSC dropper ,Dr Sumit is two time viva dropper but all of them are not in the list, " said Shoaib , a KAS aspirant.
