Village Kachloo in Kupwara declared as Red Zone

 The District Magistrate (DM) Kupwara, Friday, declared village Kachloo of Tehsil Kralgund as Red Zone, thereby restricting both inward and outward movement of people from the Zone. Apart from this, the surrounding villages of Kachloo have been declared as buffer zones and restrictions have been put on the movement of the inhabitants of these areas, who have been asked not to allow relatives/visitors to visit their homes without written permission of concerned Administrator.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Kralgund has been designated as Administrator for red and buffer zones of Kachloo. The Administrator has been directed to ensure screening of households in the Red Zone and furnish information as per the prescribed format to the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara on a regular basis. The Administrator will be assisted by Fayaz Ahmad Parray, Lecturer GHSS Zachaldara and Mohmad Sultan Rather, Lecturer GHSS Sogam.
All the officers of the line departments have been directed to ensure the availability of basic facilities including food grains, LPG, medicines etc in the red/buffer zones. They were asked to respond to medical emergencies of the people living in the red and buffer zones and the concerned BMO will dedicate one ambulance for the Red Zone area.
