Police rescue Norway tourist from skiing slopes in Gulmarg

Baramulla, Jan 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla rescued a foreign tourist who lost tarck while skiing in the Khar Nallah forests of Drung in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. 
The tourist, Oeyvind Aamot of Norway, had arrived in the morning at Gulmarg and went skiing, but on his return, he lost his track and became stuck in Khar Nallah forests of Drung. 
A top police official in Baramulla said that in response, two rescue teams were formed, one by the Police Station Gulmarg and the other by the Tourism Department. 
"The teams followed two tracks around the forest area and ultimately located the missing skier," the police official said. 
"He was safely rescued and brought back to Gulmarg."
The foreign tourist expressed his gratitude to the Baramulla police for their timely assistance.
Meanwhile SSP Baramulla, Amod Ashok Nagpure also praised the rescue teams and announced a cash reward in their favour.
