Agri deptt to complete documentation of ‘Kisan Credit Cards’

Srinagar, Jan 05: Agricultural Department Kashmir is in the process of completing the documentation for the Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) Scheme of farmers in the Kashmir valley.
This initiative aims to provide farmers with adequate and timely credit for their agricultural operations.
Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal, Director of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare Kashmir told Rising Kashmir that the Agricultural Department Kashmir has already commenced the documentation process for the Kisan Credit Card scheme across the valley.
"The agricultural department employees are conducting camps in every village of the Kashmir valley, where they collect the necessary documents from farmers on a daily basis," he said.
The Director said that the KCC Scheme will offer farmers the necessary financial support for their agricultural endeavors, enabling them to carry out proper operations in their fields.
"The Farmers in the Kashmir valley receive proper financial support under the PM Kissan Scheme which gets directly credited into their bank account. The Kisan Credit Card Scheme is specifically designed for farmers, and they should take full advantage of this opportunity. By cultivating various crops on their lands, farmers can generate a good source of income. This scheme aims to cover every eligible farmer and boost the agricultural sector across the valley," the Director said.
He further added that the documentation process for the KCC scheme will be completed by January 15, 2024
