Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Saloni Rai, who is also the Chairperson of WCDC-IWMP,  today  distributed sewing machines and raw materials among Women Self Help Group Members here  in the Mini Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.

Rajni Sharma (President), Miss Pooja Devi (Secretary), and other members of the Self-Help Group of Panchayat Bredian received the assistance under the livelihood component of WDC-PMKSY 2.0.   

During the interaction with the Self-Help Group members, the Chairperson gave valuable advice on self-employment and attaining sustainable livelihoods. Pertinent to mention here that these women were unemployed till now and with the creation of New SHGS they get job opportunities and it will make them self-reliant.

Dr. Manmeet Kumar (PO IWMP), Dr. Nasir Hafiz (DLTE), Raj Kishore (AAO), Bimal Kumar, Purnima, Anita (WDT), and Rekha (DEO) were also present.
