Srinagar, April 21: After the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are preparing to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, a festival that symbolizes the end of fasting and the beginning of festivities. In Jammu and Kashmir, this year's Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday, as the Shawwal moon has been sighted.

The Jama Masjid authorities have announced that Eid-ul-Fitr prayers will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The mosque administration has requested that people come to the mosque in large numbers to offer their prayers.
