A 60-year-old man from Poonch died onspot after he fell from Walnut tree in Khag area of Central Kashmir's Budgam district on Monday.

An Police official from the Police Station Khag told the Rising Kashmir that a man fell from Walnut tree at Ellahipora Nagabal Khag, resulting in his onspot death.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq Konsowar, son of Faqir Ahmad Konsowar, aged 60. He was originally a resident of the Poonch district and was presently living in Khag.

"Following the incident, he was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival," official said.

However, the police have taken cognizance of the incident.
