Srinagar, Feb 26: The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh is set to conduct the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 program, aimed at raising awareness and enhancing outreach regarding social security provisions. The event will take place on February 27, 2024, simultaneously at three different venues: the Conference Hall, Bari Brahmana Industrial Association, SIDCO Complex Jammu; Yatriniwas, Sonamarg Development Authority, Sonamarg, Kashmir; and EPFO Office, LADAKH, Kargil.
The program aims to sensitize employers and employees about social security provisions while covering themes such as "Filing Grievance", digital services education, fraud prevention, and employees' rights concerning employers, the EPFO said in a press release, adding that the goal is to ensure broad participation, awareness, grievance redressal, and information exchange among EPFO stakeholders.
Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I, RO J&K and Ladakh, emphasized the importance of active participation from subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employees' representatives, and industrial chambers in the Nidhi Aapke Nikat Program. District Nodal Officers will address the program in Jammu, Kashmir, and Leh.
The program will focus on raising awareness about EPFO schemes, addressing queries and grievances, gathering feedback and suggestions, and promoting the extension of social security benefits to all eligible employees from their first day of joining. Handholding sessions will be conducted to educate employers about PF provisions and initiatives like e-Nomination, Online Claim Filing, and Updation of KYC in UAN.
The program will cover enrollment, UAN activation, bank & Aadhaar seeding, online claim filing, e-nominations, e-sign, and filing ECR. Additionally, a special pension help desk will address pension-related issues/grievances on the spot.
EPFO said it has been rendering services and benefits of "Social Security," including the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995, and enhanced quantum of Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Schemes, 1976, to employees in the Union territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh since November 2019. The organization welcomes valuable suggestions for the Nidhi Aapke Nikat program.
