SRINAGAR: Along with the rest of the country, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Jammu and Kashmir is gearing up to conduct the State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS) 2023 in the entire union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on November 3 to assess the learning levels of children in Grades III, VI, and IX.
The NCERT, New Delhi, under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is going to conduct the State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS) in collaboration with SCERTs for classes 3rd, 6th, and 9th on November 3, 2023, across the country.
The survey, which will be conducted by the national assessment regulator PARAKH, is expected to cover over 2.5 lakh students in Jammu and Kashmir. Its purpose is to identify areas that require improvement in learning and will serve as a precursor to the Education Ministry's annual National Achievement Survey (NAS) conducted at the district level.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the SEAS on November 3, all Chief Education Officers in Jammu and Kashmir have been directed to provide the necessary support. They have also been instructed to ensure the full attendance of staff and students on the day of the survey.
The SCERT-JK has organised an orientation programme for district-level coordinators and associate coordinators for SEAS-2023 in Srinagar and Jammu.
