Srinagar, Jan 19: Srinagar Smart City has clinched the prestigious "Best Smart Urban Mobility Award" at the Smart Cities India Expo held in New Delhi on Friday 

The recognition comes as an indication to the city's innovative strides in urban mobility solutions.

Dr. Owais Ahmed, CEO of Srinagar Smart City credited the success to the collective efforts of the city's residents and the unwavering dedication of the Smart City team.

Adding to the accolades, the former CEO of Srinagar Smart City, Athar Amir Khan, emerged victorious as the "Best City Leader of the Year" at the same event.

Expressing gratitude for the honor, Khan acknowledged the collaborative spirit within the Smart City team and the privilege of being part of their achievements over his three-year tenure.

The Smart Cities India 2024 Awards serve as a distinctive platform to recognize and applaud outstanding contributions across urban and rural landscapes.

The awards celebrate individuals, policymakers, companies, municipalities, government bodies, and associations making remarkable strides in shaping smarter and more sustainable communities.

These accolades highlight the transformative initiatives undertaken by Smart City Srinagar under the leadership of Dr. Owais Ahmed and the commendable tenure of former CEO Athar Amir Khan.
