Budgam, Sep 05: The teachers of Government Secondary School at the Chewdara village in central Kashmir's Budgam district presented gifts to the students on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
The students organised various programmes to honour their teachers and highlight the significant role they play in their lives. Cultural activities and programmes were held, including singing Kashmiri songs that emphasised the importance of teachers.
The teachers reciprocated by distributing gifts and certificates to students who excelled in academic, sports, science, and innovation fields.
Dr Syed Shabir from DIET Budgam was the chief guest and presented the Best Student of the Year and Best Teacher of the Year awards.
In his speech, Dr Shabir emphasised that teachers are the backbone of the nation and it is their responsibility to provide quality education to students. This will enable students to excel in various fields and build successful careers, he said.
